Dale Kuhling
January 29, 1948 – November 25, 2013

The family sadly announces the passing of our loved one. Dale was born in Tisdale and lived with his parents and siblings on the farm in Star City area until he married Joyce Letendre in 1970. They resided in Melfort and were blessed with two daughters – Rhonda in 1973 and Lori in 1974. In October, 1990 Dale met the challenge of becoming a widower and single parent. In 1991 an old flame was rekindled and he married Sherry who had 2 sons – Tim born in 1971 and Jeff born in 1975. Dale and Sherry moved to Prince Albert in 1993 for his employment, followed by building their dream home in Christopher Lake in 1997, where he was involved in the community and active as a Director of the Board of the Lakeland & District Co-operative Volunteer Fire Department for the past 7 years. Dale’s hobbies included flying his Cessna, hunting, fishing and racing stock cars in his early days; as health diminished and age increased the hobbies became more sedate - feeding the deer and birds and attending “coffee row” with his many friends. He will always be remembered and sadly missed by his friends and loving wife Sherry; daughters Rhonda ( Duane) Tyacke (Taylor & Kaylee) and Lori (Rob) Durant (Tyler, Jordan and Allyssa); stepsons Tim and Jeff Smerechanski; brother Ken (Maureen) and sister Carol Dyck and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by his parents William and Alma; sister Marjorie Kuhling and brother-in-law Aron Dyck. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Spruce Home Activity Centre, Spruce Home, SK with Nancy Carruthers officiating, with a lunch to follow. In lieu of other tributes, the family request memorial donations can be made to the Lakeland Fire Dept in his memory to aid in achieving his future goal of obtaining a new pumper truck on the fleet. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
