Passed peacefully away at his residence on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, Oscar Parsons of Small Point, age 91 years. Predeceased by wife: Stella; parents: John and Elizabeth; brothers: Johnny, Sandy (Elsie) and Ronald (Emma); brother-in-law: William Peach. Left to mourn, one daughter: M. Grace Parsons (Michael Martin), Toronto, ON; one son: Roger (Wendy) Parsons, Small Point; two grandchildren: Lynn (Shawn) and Bruce; one brother: Eli (Stella), Salmon Cove; sister-in-law: Leone Parsons, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Rev. Glenn Jarvis conducted the funeral service on Saturday, November 30 from Ocean View United Church, Broad Cove. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Broad Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to the United Cemetery, Broad Cove.
