Edmond (Ed) Barabe, born on September 21, 1921, passed away peacefully at 92 years of age, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at 2:00 pm from the Church of the Open Bible, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Rob Cochrane officiating. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Henry & Olevine; his first wife, Pauline, in 1979; a grandson, Trent; his sisters, Irene and Yvonne; and by his brothers, George, Wilfred, Raymond and Adrian. He is survived by his loving wife, Eva; his daughter, Betty; his sons, Don and Karen, Dan and Ruth, John and Verna; his grandchildren, Kimberly Campbell, David (Claudia) Zabel, Lori Zabel, Richard (Tara) Barabe, Diana Wall (Dave), Jaime Case (Matt), Madison Barabe, Alexandra Barabe, Mitchell Barabe and Connor Barabe; his great-grandchildren, Tyson and Austin Zabel, Jaivyn and Jordis Barabe, Tayah and Calli Barabe; a sister-in-law, Eleanor; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Margaret Dick, nephew, Floyd Barabe and Gordon & Gail Christensen who lent a helping hand often which enabled Dad to stay in his own home to the very last day.
