MILLER, Marie Ethel – 97, Truro, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 30, 2013, at home. Born November 28, 1916, in Londonderry, she was a daughter of the late Raphael and Mary (MacDonald) Richard. Marie is survived by her sister, Helen VanHorne, Campbellton, New Brunswick; daughters, Barbara (Don) Webster, Ruth (Bill) Soper, Judy (Don) Bennicke, Gail (Rick) Moir; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ellis John Miller; five sisters; five brothers; one son-in-law; one step grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro. Reception will follow in Campbell Hall. Spring interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 125 Robie Street, Truro. If so desired, donations in Marie’s memory to CWL or a charity of choice are welcomed.
