August 15, 1938 - January 3, 2014 - William Withers passed away peacefully at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on January 3, 2014, at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by his two brothers James and Mark. Leaving to mourn his sister Emmie Battcock (nee Withers) (John predeceased), and brothers Peter (Ada) and Vince (Mary predeceased). Also leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and great friends. William worked as a Carpenter all his life, bringing his love of woodwork to all the communities around. He loved fishing and hunting, and dearly loved his nieces, nephews and godchildren. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place Sunday, January 5th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and Monday, January 6th from 2:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11:00am on Tuesday, January 7th at St. Anne's Church, Dunville. Cremation and inurnment to follow.
