Juanita Dawn Nelson began her life on July 20, 1973, as Tracy Kaiswatum, born to Bernice Whiteman and Bert Kaiswatum. She joined her brothers, Greg and Albert and her sisters, Karen, Gwen, Maxine, Deanna, Evie and Mariposa. Juanita brought love and laughter to two families. In August 1976, Juanita joined the Don & Sharon Nelson family, and brothers, Donnie and Shayne (Veronica and Abi). Juanita had a zest and enthusiasm for life, she enjoyed her families and friends. Her awesome cooking skills were enjoyed by many. Juanita passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013, at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. Juanita had three daughters and four grandchildren ~ Jaden (Jeremy) and children, Zaida and Zac: Sage and son, Asanee: Talon and daughter, Ava. Juanita leaves to mourn, Jim Laroque; her families and friends. She will be greatly missed.
The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herbert, SK with Rev. Greg Kiel officiating. The pianist for the service was Diane Peters. Scriptures were read from Psalm 139:1-18 and Romans 8:18-27 by Lynn Schmiedge. “How Great Thou Art”, “Breathe On Me Breath of God”, “Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart” and “Amazing Grace” were sung by the congregation. The life history and tribute was shared by Tara Stojkovich. The ushers in the church were Ken Nelson and Lloyd Schmiedge. The Interment Service was held at the Highland Cemetery, Herbert, SK with the following serving as pallbearers, Scott Larson, Elizabeth Gurney, John Bellhumer, Shayne Nelson, Vernon Paddy and Leslie Paddy.
