JOHN WILLIAM JAMIESON

Lieu de naissance : Victoria, Colombie Britannique, Canada
Date de naissance : 25 septembre 1939

Lieu de décès : Kamloops, Colombie Britannique, Canada
Date de décès : 25 décembre 2013

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandpa on December 25th. at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Centre following a lengthy battle with cancer.

John leaves to mourn his wife of forty-five years, Dawne of Kamloops, daughter Shawn, son-in-law Kriss Yargeau and two wonderful grandsons Kian and Rylan all of Vernon.

John was born in Victoria but spent most of his life in Kamloops throughout his schooling, participating in lots of hockey along the way. In the early sixties, he joined the R.C.M.P. He served in Saskatchewan, Kamloops City, Kamloops Sub-division, Armstrong and Enderby. He retired from the Force after twenty-nine years, and he and Dawne returned to Kamloops in 1992.

John was a loving husband, a great dad, wonderful "papa" to Kian and Rylan, and a very loyal friend. He had many challenges in his life and met each one "head on" with courage and dignity.

John, thank you for being the man you were, the one whose strength held us together and whose generous heart gave all it could.

You are forever loved and
missed by us all.
Dawne, Shawn and Kriss,
Kian and Rylan.

"In the end, only three things really matter; how much you loved, how gently you lived and how graciously you are able to give up that which is no longer meant for you."

There will be no formal service by request, but there will be a Celebration of Life in the spring when the golf course starts to get green again.

A very special thank you to Dr. Rob Baker, Dr. Brad Proctor, Dr. Jim Stephen, and Dr. Terry Simpson, as well as the many wonderful friends for their compassion and caring over the years. We would also like to express at this time our deepest gratitude to the staff of the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Centre. Their kindness and professionalism were above and beyond in every way. Bless all of you!

Donations in John's name can be made to the Hospice Centre, Royal Inland Hospital or a charity of choice.
