It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Yvonne Kozera on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Louisbourg, she was the daughter of the late Elvin and Mildred Fleet.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Kozera.
Yvonne enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a resident of Harbourstone and considered them family and always was ready to lend a hand, she enjoyed making the staff and other residents smile. She will be dearly missed.
Mom is survived by her loving children, Judy Kozera (Leonard), Louisbourg, Loretta (Sheldon) Squires, Big Bras d’Or, Frank (Valerie) Kozera, Ottawa; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Kennedy, Louisbourg, Helen Bishop, P.E.I., as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of 4A at the CBRH for their kind and loving care.
There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
