Jeffrey Snyder

Date de décès : 18 janvier 2014

Jeffrey Michael Snyder passed away suddenly at his home on January 18th, 2014 at the much too early age of 28 years. He will be sadly missed by his mother Esther (David) Green, Swift Current, his father Frans (Mieke) Snijder, the Netherlands, his brother Kevin Snyder, Ontario as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Nelly Eering, Swift Current and Paul and Wil Snijder, the Netherlands.

He started school in Holland but moved to Canada during first grade at the age of seven, where he had to learn English and adapt to a new country and culture. He was always energetic, outgoing and quick to make friends wherever he was. When he was 14 he moved back to Holland to be with his Dad and Mieke and had the opportunity to see more of Europe. Jeff enjoyed playing basketball and soccer but most of all he loved going fishing with his Dad. He came back to Swift Current for his final year of high school. Travelling beckoned him and he spent a short time in Fort McMurray but that ended when he was in a car accident where he broke his back in two places. Although he recovered quite well, he had recurring back pain from then on. He decided to stay in Swift Current, and worked at the Pioneer Co-op until he moved on to Big Eagle operating a Hydro-vac.

Jeff always had many friends all over the world. He loved music, movies, video games, graffiti, animals, tropical fish, sports, poker, nice clothes, family, friends and especially life. He had struggled with addiction over the past year and thought he had it beat. He was making great plans for the future and was starting a new job and ready to settle down when he was tragically taken by an accidental overdose.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Some say you passed on, and that is it
But I know that's not true, and will admit
They may be sorry that you are gone
But to me I know that you live on
No matter what anyone does or says
There's no such thing that they call death
It's only an illusion; a distortion of life
As "there is No spoon"; there is no knife
There's Only perception of one's reality
You are indeed living, and always will be
Illusion is draped and covering the eyes
The fear of death is in the mind; built upon lies
Life is a dream & I will never feel blue
You living forever will always remain true
You're the best brother and always will be
One with my heart
For eternity
October 30th 1985 - January 18th 2014- to Infinity
Love you Forevs Bro
