Elizabeth 'Betty' 'Doddy' MacPherson of St. Thomas passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in her 81st year.
Beloved wife and best friend for over 60 years of Dan 'Turk' MacPherson. Loved mother of Deborah Anne and her husband Harry Geerlinks of St. Thomas and loved sister of Rita (Ken) McQueen of Truro, Nova Scotia, Jeanette (Phil) Bremner of Regina, Marie (John) Rakoschi of Aylmer, Irene Boudreau of Moncton, New Brunswick, and Dennis (Brenda) Boudreau of Halifax. Cherished grandmother of Craig, Nicole and Danielle Geerlinks.
She was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn McLeod and brother, Lawrence Boudreau.
Doddy was born June 8, 1933, in Sydney, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (MacDonald) Boudreau. She formerly worked at the Bank of Montreal.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Lum and Dr. Carter as well as the staff of 5th floor at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital for all their compassion and care as well as to Tanya McCready for her special concerns.
A private service will take place at a later date, no public visitation. Cremation has taken place.
Donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
