STEWART, KENNETH HERMAN - At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB on February 1, 2014, Mr. Kenneth Herman Stewart, husband of Mrs. Shirley (Morehouse) Stewart of Pennfield, NB. Born at Elmcroft, NB on May 1, 1925, he was a son of the late Herman and Estella (Beney) Stewart. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by one son, Richard (Pauline) Stewart of Pennfield, NB, one granddaughter, Danielle (Myles) Mannix of Grand Prairie, AB, one brother, Alvin (Rena) Stewart of Blacks Harbour, NB, one sister, Doris Stewart of Blacks Harbour, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenneth was predeceased by one grandson, Jordan Stewart, three brothers; Clarence, Lawrence and Merlin and by two sisters; Annie and Florence. In his early years, Kenny worked in the local Logging Industry before moving to Blacks Harbour where he worked for Connors Bros as a Mechanic and Heavy Equipment Operator for over 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. He had a great fondness for animals and enjoyed playing cards, curling and being surrounded by children. Kenny was a member of the Masonic Lodge #12 F & AM, St. George and the Calvary Baptist Church, Blacks Harbour.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage St., St. George, NB, with visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held from the Calvary Baptist Church, Blacks Harbour, NB on Wednesday at 2 pm. In Ken’s memory, donations to the Fundy Nursing Home or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. A Masonic Tribute service in Ken's memory will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:45 pm. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
