December 30, 1913 - February 3, 2014 - Passed peacefully away on February 3, 2014 at the A. M. Guy Health Centre, Buchans at the age of 100. Born in Little Burnt Bay, Mom was a former resident of Springdale and the oldest living resident of Buchans, (since 1935). Predeceased by her husband Hallett Edward Squires (Apr. 21, 1985), daughter Sylvia Marie Squires (Nov. 22, 1945), Father Elam Spencer, Mother Rose (Rosanna) Spencer (Simms), Sisters; Ivy (died in infancy), Bertha (Sam Pelley), Carrie Violet (Arthur Clark), and Stella (Jack Newman). Left to mourn with many loving memories, Sons; Enos Roger (Jean Kelloway), Clifton Lancelot (Theresa LaSaga), and Daughter; Judy Lorraine (Peter Keough). Grandchildren; Susan Marie Watson (Michael), Geoffrey Keough (Dianne), Janice Matthews (Steven), Alaina Squires and McKenzie Squires. Great Grandchildren; Danielle Upshall, Justin Upshall, Alyssa Keough, Rebecca Keough, Mason Matthews and Marissa Matthews; Special friend Lydia Marshall, other Relatives and Friends. A special Thank you to those who provided Mom's Home Care for the past several years, to the Social Workers, Doctors and Staff at A. M. Guy Health Centre and to those Community Volunteers and friends who were essential in helping mom maintain residence in her own home for so many years. Resting at the United Church, Buchans with visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 4th from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday, Feb. 5th from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P. M. - 9:00 P.M. Funeral Services to be held on Thursday, Feb. 6th at 2:00 P.M. with Interment to follow. Donations in her memory may be made to the church of your choice in Buchans, Postal code A0H 1G0.
