The death occurred peacefully at the George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, N.B., on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, of Donna Marie Pitre (nee Dugay) of Scoudouc, N.B., and formerly of Summerside, aged 52 years. Donna was born on August 2, 1961, to her mother Jane (nee Allain) and her father, the late Fred Dugay. Beloved wife of Gilles Pitre and loving mother of Shaun, Bobby-Jo, Sammy Jo (Dave) Fleischhacker and Mark Stone. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Linda (Ron) Dunne of Alberton, Sylvia (David) Gavin, Brenda (Jeff) MacDonald, Colleen (Bob Ferrier), Nola (Vince Mallet), Darren (Rebecca), Karen Mallett, all of Summerside, Cindy (Neal) Merritt of Charlottetown and brothers and sisters-in-law: Theresa (Vaughan) Poirier, Michel Geanne, Denise (Laureal) Maltis, Dorlores (Dennis) Fournier, Gilberte (Luc) Suory, Mona (George) Savoie, Yvon (Ann) Pitre and Jacqueline (Randy) Roy. Besides her father, Donna was predeceased by her brother Alan, brothers-in-law Paul Mallett, Yves Pitre, mother and father-in-law Clairine and George Pitre. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, Feb. 8, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in Donna's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
