Mrs. Stella Mary Kowalchuk, age 86, beloved wife of Mr. Paul Kowalchuk of Rural Prince Albert, SK passed away at the Mont St. Joseph Special Care Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mr. Eldon Danielson will officiate. Stella is survived by her loving family: her husband Paul; her son Allan; her daughters Debra Kowalchuk and Brenda (Nolan) Novakovski. Stella was born to Wasayl and Gaficia Baran at Samburg, SK. Stella was employed as a clerk in a general store in Big River, SK. During the war she worked at an aircraft plant in Fort William, BC. In 1950 she met Paul and a year later they were married. Because of their love for Prince Albert they have made their home here since 1959. Many summers vacations with the children were spent in the National Park. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens next spring.
