Larry A. Laliberté

It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Larry A. Laliberté, age 66, of Amherst Head. Larry passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday, February 6, 2014.
Born in Penetanguishene, ON, he was a son of Mary (Keefer) Laliberté and the late Lawrence Laliberté.
Larry was a cook in the Navy for 5 years, then worked at the Mental Health Centre Penetanguishene – Oak Ridge Facility for 27 years. He enjoyed days out on Georgian Bay fishing. He loved spending time with his dogs, watching the wildlife in his yard, and was well known for his ability to cook.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Gail Chapman, Amherst; son Larry, Edmonton, AB; daughter Cheryl Laliberté, Penetanguishene, ON; daughter Karen (Richard) Gagne, Penetanguishene, ON. He was Papére to Kierdan, Nikolan, Joelle, Dylan, Samantha, Lucus. He is also survived by brother John (Deb); sisters Linda LeBrun, Jean Quesnelle and Nancy Crawford, all of Midland, ON.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law George LeBrun.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst (902-667-8777). In keeping with Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. Burial will be held in the Lorneville Cemetery in the spring.
