Christopher "Chris" Ernst Karam, 17, Glace Bay - Chris Karam, age 17 of Dominion Street, Glace Bay, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Chris is the son of Sam and Tara (Prystawik) Karam. Chris graduated from Glace Bay High on January 31, 2014. He was accepted into the engineering course at Memorial University, NL. He loved listening to music, working out at the gym and spending time with his family and friends. Chris could light up a theatre with his beautiful smile. He had a great passion for riding motorcycles. Chris worked at Swiss Chalet in Sydney. Besides his parents, Chris is survived by his three brothers; Joey, Michael and his twin brother, Roy as well by the love of his life; his girlfriend, Robyn Hawco. He is and forever will be sadly missed by his maternal grandparents; Rev. Bernice Spracklin, Ernst Prystawik and paternal grandparents; Ragheb and Helana Karam. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. The funeral mass is Monday at 2 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay with Rev. Norman MacPhee and Rev. Donald MacDonald officiating. Following the mass, all are invited to join family and friends from near and far for a reception in the parish hall, directly below the church.
