Walter A. March - Corner Brook, NL. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter March announces his passing on Sunday, February 9th, 2014 at Corner Brook Long Term Care home at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his nieces Joan Rowe (Stanley, deceased), Green's Harbour, Linda Piercey (Lloyd), Corner Brook, Lorraine Conway (John), Warkworth, ON, Ruth Murphy (John), Calgary, AB, and Marilyn Whalen (Jock, deceased), Edmonton, AB; nephews Max March (Clara), Shubenacadie, NS, Frank March (Rosie), Pasadena, Jerry March (Linda), St. John's and Bill Vincent (Phyllis), Mt. Pearl; five nieces and six nephews from the Andrews family; very special friends Harry and Shirley Balsom; and many friends. He is predeceased by his wife Doris (nee Andrews); April 14, 2000; brother Cyril, sisters Dorothy Vincent and Hilda Tulk; parents Esau and Jessie March. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, St. Marks Avenue with Reverend Harry Whitehorne officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
