PAGET, SHIRLEY - Shirley Paget of Plaster Rock passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on February 9, 2014. Shirley was born in Plaster Rock on November 18, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Cora (Johnson) Wright. She leave behind her daughters Melanie Knox (Allison) of Plaster Rock, Jackie Paget (Tom Brown) of Woodstock; her grandson Daniel Smith (Crystal) of Bridgewater, NS; great-grandchildren Ayden Smith of Boston, Mass, Addison Smith of Bridgewater, NS; her sister Sheila Ashford (William) of Plaster Rock; her brother Lee Wright (Minerva) of Victoria, BC. Shirley was predeceased by her parents; her husband Claude Paget; and her daughter Patricia Paget. Shirley was a member of the founding board for the Tobique Valley Manor. She was also a member of the Tobique Valley Hospital Auxiliary Board, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Plaster Rock Seniors Club, and the local Bridge Club. She worked for many years with her husband as the office manager for the family business.
Respecting Shirley's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1 pm from the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock. Mr. Kenneth Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Linton Corner Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria County SPCA or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
