DAIGLE, FERDINAND “FRED, FREDDY” - 1934 - 2014 - MONCTON - Mr. Ferdinand Daigle, 80, of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, passed away on Thursday, February 13th, 2014 in his place of residence in Moncton of natural causes. Born in Pointe-Sapin, January 10th, 1934. He was the 2nd oldest in his family of 10 children of the late Alcime Joseph(deceased 1966) & the late Exina Marie (Dugas) Daigle (deceased 1995) also of Pointe Sapin. He attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic church, Pointe Sapin in his younger years and attended school in Pointe Sapin. He is survived by his three children, John Paul Joseph Daigle and his spouse Marcelle and they reside in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada with their two children Taylor Derek Anthony and Haleigh Morgan Daigle; Gisèle Exina Marie Clements and her spouse James who resides in Buffalo, New York, USA and their two children Dominique Mireille and Dawson James Dennis Clements; and Giles Joseph Daigle who resides in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and his two children, Chanelle Anne and Jeremy Wyatt Daigle, and a great granddaughter Annabelle Daigle (Chanelle Daigle). They are also the children and grandchildren of Aldine Johnson. He also had eight siblings, the late Hector Daigle (deceased 2007) and his late wife Mabel (Walker) of New Denmark, NB,; the late Louis Phillip Daigle (deceased 2003) and his wife Lucette (Bacon) of Spanish, ON; Jeannine & her spouse Camille Gallant of Montreal, QC; Norman Daigle and his spouse Gloria (Gray) of Pointe Sapin, NB,; the late Roger Daigle (Deceased 2012) (Alexina Hebert) of Kouchibouquac, NB; Hermance Daigle of Montreal, QC; Rejeanne Landry and her spouse Roger of Pointe Sapin, NB; Nicole Russell and her spouse Robert of Baie-Ste-Anne. He was also predeceased by one brother, Alcime Jr., and has left behind an extended family of many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed sitting around laughing, telling jokes and exchanging stories with friends and family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards, camping and you could always find him sitting with his guitar singing at all times of the day throughout his lifetime. He loved country music and played a variety of instruments and nothing made him happier if he could skunk you in a game of cribbage.
He was cremated and a memorial service will be taking place at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church (3177, Route 117, Pointe-Sapin, NB), on Thursday, February 20th, 2014, at 11am. A donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
