It is with great sadness that the families of Sidney Morgan Shears announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Pt., NL, on Monday, February 17th, 2014, at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Rosie nee Pittman, his children; Linda Russell, Gary (Nora), & Anne Payne (Craig), his brother, Lewis Shears, his grandchildren; Bryon Russell (Cathy), Peter Russell (Crystal), Christian Shears (Suzanne), Christopher Shears (Joanne), Barbara (Sean), Sam Payne, & Alex Payne, his great grandchildren; Rebecca Webber (James), Allannah Russell, Joseph Russell, Sidne Shears, Morgan Shears, Jolina Shears, Nicholas & Noah Thistle, & Eric Russell, his sister in laws; Muriel Shears, & Bess Critch, Sidney was predeceased by his Parents; William Shears, & Phoebe Pinsent, brothers; Stanley Shears (Emma), Stewart Shears (Mable), Clayton (Bess), Roland, Cecil (Muriel), Lewis (Bride), sisters; Effie Ingram (Clayton), & Gladys Snow (George), also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family & friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky hr, NL, on Wednesday, February 19th, 2014, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Thursday, February 20th, 2014, at 2: pm with Canon: Rev: Louise Richards officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Rocky Hr., NL. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Sidney's memory would be graciously appreciated by the family.
