It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Barter announces her passing on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are, her husband Fred of 63 years; children: Roger, Vancouver, BC, Jane (Reg) McGrath, Kelligrews, Fred Jr. (Laura), Toronto, ON, Ada Swanson (Wayde Holloway), Niagara Falls, ON, Robert, Bedford, NS and Andrew (Cecile), Toronto, ON; seven grandchildren: Cory, Kevin, Donny, Brian, Clayton, Catherine, Patrick and their spouses; seven great grandchildren; sister Alma Guy (Frank); brother Fred Hull; sisters-in-law Elsie Humphries and Marion Hull; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Ted Barter, granddaughter Cleo Barter; parents Andrew and Ethel Hull, and brothers and sisters. Granting her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial service and burial will take place at a later date to be announced. As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
