Marcel Panchuk passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at his residence at Oliver Place at 91 years of age. Marcel is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eva, brother Michael (Rose),sister Ann, his daughters, Darlene (Leonard) and Marlene (Ted) Borthwick, and his sons, Gordon (Julia), Dale (Heather), and Marcel (Oksana). His grandchildren, Curtis (Jennifer), Shantelle (Matt), Dwight (Barb), Eva (Bill), Nolan, Jared (Becky), Jeremy (Cecile), Noelle, Rybecca, Faythe, Dalyn, plus many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marcel was predeceased by his father, Nicholas, his mother, Polly, brother, Steve, and his infant son Vernon. Marcel was a proud veteran, husband, and father who enjoyed many pleasures in life such as hunting, fishing and gardening. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association in his memory. The Vigil of Prayer will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.. Both services will be held at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church (1202 Ave. O S., Saskatoon). With Father Nestor Gregoire O.M.I. presiding.
