MAILLET, LYDIA - March 12, 1912 - March 3, 2014 - Sainte-Marie-de-Kent - It is with sadness and great emotion that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother which happened on March 3, 2014, at La Villa Providence de Shédiac, a few days before celebrating her 102nd anniversary. Born in Bouctouche Cove, she was the daughter of the late Michel Bastarache and the late Claire Allain. She was married to Louis LeBlanc (1964), and to Levi Maillet (2001). She leaves seven children to remember her generosity and her spirit of compassion which shall never be forgotten: Father Raoul, Bertin (Anise), Stella (Rodrigue), Bernard (Gisèle), Robert (Francine), Marcelle (Miroslav), and André (Jeanine). She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Our mother was predeceased by her brothers Aurèle, Edmond and Alfred; and by her sisters Rita and Élise.
Funeral arrangements are provided by the Maillet Funeral Home of Bouctouche. Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame-du-Mount-Carmel Church in Sainte-Marie de Kent on Friday, March 7th, from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00pm; and on Saturday, from 9:00 to 10:45am, at which time the funeral will take place.
