The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on Saturday, March 8th, 2014 of Ivan Alcide Doucette of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 81 years. Ivan was born on January 24, 1933 in Tignish, P.E.I. to his late parents Frank and Elizabeth (nee Allain) Doucette. Survived by his special friend Rita Arsenault and her family, also by his special pet Lily. Besides his parents, Ivan was predeceased by his brothers Arthur, Melvin, Leo, Edmond, Alfred, Albert and Ralph, his sisters Ida Johnes and Rose Martin. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, March 11th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St.Paul’s Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Ivan`s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
