Owna Lepine

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunty, sister-in-law and friend, Owna Lepine from Hagen, SK on March 12, 2014 at the age of 63 years. Her precious life began on October 27, 1950 in Porcupine Plain, SK. As the daughter of Frank & Katie Wojcichowsky she spent her younger years, with her family moving around from Carragana, Prince Albert, The Pas, MB and eventually back to Prince Albert. It was there that she met her future husband, Eugene Lepine. They were married on May 22, 1966 in Prince Albert. Over the next few years four children were born: Joseph, Karla, Patrick and Brian. They lived in Saskatoon, St. Laurent, Fenton and Hagen where they resided until her passing on March 12, 2014. Owna is survived by her loving husband Eugene, her children: Joseph (Maureen Morrison), Karla (Mark) Smytaniuk, Patrick, Brian (Cindy Hopcraft); her grandchildren: Dustin, Randy, Janine, Michelle, Arron & Larissa; her great-grandchild Terra, as well as a very special friend Lynne Evans and her canine companion Sparkles. Owna was predeceased by her parents Frank & Katie Wojcichowsky, her brothers Lawrence and Victor, her sisters Beverly Ferster and Carol Campbell, her father and mother-in-law Ronald & Laurence Lepine, her brothers-in-law Romeo Lafontaine and Hubert Lepine and her sister-in-law Yvette Lafontaine. A Funeral Service for Owna will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 - 11:00 AM at the Birch Hills Lutheran Church, 428 Bellamy Ave, Birch Hills, SK. Interment to follow at the Birch Hills Cemetery.
