ALLAIN, ELMIRE - 1935 - 2014 - Elmire Allain, 78, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014, surrounded by her family at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. She was married to the late Gérard Allain. Born in Saint-Damien, she was the daughter of the late Camille and the late Violette (LeBLanc) Cormier. She will be sadly missed by her eleven children; Nicole Caissie, Francine Caissie (Léonard), Paul, Fernand (Nadine), Ronald, Danny (Lisa), Gilles and Maurice (Claudette) all of Bouctouche, Roger of Notre-Dame, Didier of Saint-Antoine and Normand (Debbie) of Saint-Damien, her 23 grandchildren, her 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Jeannette Ferreira (Charles) of Winchendon, MA and Lena Eagon of Fitchburg, MA and two brothers; Morel (Aline) of Ashburnham, MA and Eddie (Debbie) of Fitchburg, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. Elmire was predeceased by a grandson, Joey, two sisters; Dorine and Thelma and two brothers; Réginald and Léonce.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Saturday from 12:30 up until the time of the funeral. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church in Bouctouche on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.In Elmire’s memory donations can be made to the family.
