Irene Barabas
September 25, 1950 – April 24, 2014

We are sad to say we lost a very special sister, aunty and friend on April 24, 2014. Irene was born September 25, 1950 in Prince Albert, SK. She met her love of her life John and they married in 1975. They loved living on the farm in Foxford until they decided to retire. Irene and John moved to the city and enjoyed their retirement years together, going out for coffee, visiting friends and looking after their garden. We will remember Irene’s great smile and the great times we had. Irene is survived by her brothers John (Kathy) Uvery and George Uvery; her niece Laura (Wes) and their children Austin, Serenity, Jonas and Olivia; her nephew Michael; her sister-in-law Olga (Walter) Palibroda and their children Shona Dederick and Duane Palibroda. She was predeceased by her husband John; and her parents John and Theresa Uvery. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations may be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
