DAWE, Jessie Merle (Meisner), Stephen’s Rd., East Green Harbour, at the age of 88, passed away peacefully at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Born on Stephen’s Rd., East Green Harbour, she was the youngest daughter of the late William Reuben and Annie Elizabeth (McNutt) Meisner. Jessie was admired and respected by all who knew her and will always be remembered for her honesty, integrity and sense of fairness. A kind, unselfish spirit with a loving heart, she dedicated her life to her family. Jessie is survived by and will be greatly missed by son, Vaughn and daughter, Christine. Jessie was the proud and loving aunt of many cousins, nephews, nieces, and their extended families. She was predeceased by her sister, Garnett and two infant sisters, and brothers, Ben, Chester, Robert, James, Wilfred and infant brother, Harry. The funeral service was held on Monday, May 12 in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport, with Rev. Alex Rockwell presiding. Burial was in Farrington Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Roseway Hospital Fund or Tri-County VON.
