It is with great sorrow and sadness we say good bye to a loving wife and mother. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her faithful companion Silka.
Yvonne is survived by husband Guy MacKinnon; son Charlie (Georgina) Fitzgerald, South Harbour; daughters Laura Lee (Paul) Fitzgerald, Dingwall, Michelle (Mike) Lebouthillier, Halifax and Samantha (Erin) MacKinnon, Halifax; sister Helen Marie (Charlie) Ferguson, Ingonish; brother John Fitzgerald, Sydney Mines also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents Dan Vincent Fitzgerald and Sadie Belle (Petrie), South Harbour also by her brother Timmy Fitzgerald and sister Lucy Elizabeth.
A special thank you to her sister-in-law Linda who was there through out her battle with cancer, also to the staff at Buchanan Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will take place at St Joseph’s Church, Dingwall on Wednesday May 21, at 3 p.m. with Father Lazaruf Guria officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.
Funeral service under the direction of Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home.
