MULHERIN, EDNA - Edna Mulherin of Plaster Rock passed away peacefully at the Grand Falls Manor on May 24, 2014. Edna was born in Llantwit Major, Wales on April 2, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Morgan and Hilda May (Hewens) Board. Edna leaves behind her husband of over 70 years Douglas Mulherin Sr.; her daughters Donna Mulherin of Halifax, NS, Linda Dearden of Calgary, AB; her sons Geoffrey Mulherin (Sheila) of Fredericton, Thomas Mulherin (Susan) of Plaster Rock, Douglas Mulherin Jr. (Murielle) of Woodstock, Daniel Mulherin (Cindy) of Banff, AB, Patrick Mulherin (Crystal) of Fredericton, William Mulherin (Angie) of Fredericton; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; two infant children; her brother Donald Board. Edna, along with her husband Doug, are the former owners and managers of Mulherin Save-Easy in Plaster Rock.
Resting at the Tobique Chapel, Plaster Rock, with visitation on Thursday 1:30 to 3 pm. A memorial service celebrating Edna's life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 3 pm from the Tobique Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home, Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
