McNUTT, Margaret Lois – 91, Debert, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born October 6, 1922, in Bible Hill, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Olive (McRae) Cavanaugh. Margaret worked for Stanfield’s for a number of years as well as being a busy farm wife and mother. She was a member of Debert Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. As well, she enjoyed traveling and made several trips across Canada, USA and New England to shop. Margaret is survived by her sons, Glenn, Debert; Dale, Great Village; grandchildren, Kelly, Perry, Cory and Scott McNutt and Heather Dyson; great grandchildren, Brandan Dyson and Myra, Nolan, Ryan, Blake and Katie McNutt; great great granddaughter, Brielle Louise Dyson. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Blair McNutt; daughter, Norma McNutt; sisters, Gladys McNutt, Marion Cavanaugh, Jean Cavanaugh; brothers, Muir, Lloyd, Harry, Earl, Ira, Robert in infancy, Willis and Earnest “Bud” Cavanaugh. No visitation by family request. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014, in Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, Pastor Bill Martin officiating.
