It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertram S. Banfield of Bay L’Argent announces his passing at the Agnes Pratt Home in St. John’s on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at the age of 83. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Sons, Melvin (Marion) of Mount Pearl & Max of Bay L’Argent; Daughter, Wanda Banfield of Mount Pearl; Sister, Cora Perry of Bay L’Argent; Brother, Melvin Banfield of Bay L’Argent; 4 Grandchildren, Jennifer, Meghan, Travis & Tyler; 1 Great-Grandchild, Troy; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Triffenia Banfield.

The funeral service took place on Wednesday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Hilda’s Anglican Church. Interment followed at St. Hilda’s Anglican Cemetery in Bay L’Argent. In Bertram’s memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or flowers gratefully accepted.
