Passed peacefully away at his home in Marystown, surrounded by his loving family, MR. JOSEPH PITTMAN of Marystown, at the age of 67. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Magdalen of 41 years; sons, Joseph (Leslie) and Jeffrey (Genna Carey); daughter, Joanne (John Goldsworthy); sisters, Mary Hodder (Clayton Penney) and Loretta Roberts (Dr. Bernard); brothers, Richard (Helene), Donald (Carol), John (Linda), Hughie (Marianne), and Leonard (Sophia); two granddaughters, Anna Goldsworthy & Ellen Pittman; sister-in-law, Veronica Kelly (Leonard); plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: parents, Joseph & Elizabeth Pittman; sister, Ellen Pittman; parents-in-law, Joseph & Mary Bailey; brothers-in-law, Gerard, Louis & Thomas Bailey.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Friday, June 27, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Joseph’s memory, donations may be made to the Breakfast Program at Sacred Heart Academy or the Burin Peninsula SPCA. Flowers gratefully accepted.
