GAUVIN, EDGAR - 1932-2014 - Edgar Gauvin, 81, of Gallagher Ridge, passed away at his home on Saturday June 28, 2014. He was the spouse of Maria Boucher. Born in St-Sosime, he was the son of the late Gilbert and the late Valorice (Gautreau) Gauvin. He will be sadly missed by his spouse, Maria; his daughter, Yvette Carlin (James Shearer) of Fort McMurray, AB; his three sisters, Lina Collette (Gérald) of Coal Branch and Alice Petitpas and Leda Gauvin, both of St-Sosime; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Edgar was predeceased by two sisters, Ida and Della; and two brothers, Eddie and Albert.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Timothée RC Church Slumber Room in Adamsville on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday from 1:30 to 3:15 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Timothée Church on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 3:30 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Edgar's memory, a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Parish of Adamsville.
