1919-2014. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Predeceased by husband Thomas, son Gerald, Daughters Marjorie Sweeney (Angus), Judy Burt, stepson Henry (Marg), and Granddaughter Baby Coombs. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories, her sons Bill (Sheila), Donny (Lucy), daughter Mary Barnes(Gordon) and son-in-law Dan Burt. Her precious grandchildren; Angus, Gerry, Rhonda, Danielle, Brad, Mandy, Ashley, Kayla, Judy, Sara, step-grandchildren Bobby, Bonnie, Cheryl. Her adored great-grandchildren, Keisha, Abby, Will, Brandon, Kendall, Keira, Jacob, Jackson, Rachel, Kate, and Ellie Mae. Sister Marge Wall. Brother-in-law George Coombs. Special niece Valerie Andrews. Her wonderful caregivers Lois and Marjorie. Numerous nieces and nephews. Kind appreciation and many thanks to Drs. Laurie and Ayar and all of the dedicated Staff of the Bell Island Hospital. Visitation will take place at Pendergast's Funeral Home, Bell Island on Wednesday July 16th from 7-9pm and Thursday, July 17th from 12-9 pm. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Friday, July 18th.
