BOURGEOIS, ARTHUR - Arthur Bourgeois of Auberge du Soleil (formerly of Pre-d’en-Haut) passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the age of 92. Born on September 28, 1921 in Belliveau Village, he was the son of the late Hector Bourgeois and the late Marie Leger. He was a salesman for Walkins and Tingley Monuments, sold tickets for fundraisers for the Scouts and Guides and for student scholarships for the Holy Cross Congregation, worked at Belliveau Orchard and was a member of the Pre-D’en-Haut Golden Age Club. He will be sadly missed by his wife Edna; three children, Berthe Boudreau (Paul Émile), Paul Bourgeois (Annette), Gilles Bourgeois (Pauline); eight grandchildren: Christine LeBlanc (Joël), Marc Boudreau (Christine), Geneviève Bourgeois- Breau (Stéphane), Monique Bourgeois (Jason), Jacinthe LeBlanc (Michel), Jacques Bourgeois (Christine), Maxime (Sara) and Caroline Bourgeois (Brian); eight great-grandchildren: Alexis, Monica, Mathieu, Madisson, Miguelle, Zachary, Ashley and Marie Eve; four sisters, Hélène LeBlanc (late Stanis), Sr Lucille Bourgeois n.d.s.c., Antoinette Boudreau (Donald), Délina Gaudet (Eddie); one brother, Louis Bourgeois (Mary); and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three sisters Bernadette, Eugénie and Bertha.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Sunday, July 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de l’Annonciation church, Pre-D’en-Haut on Monday, July 21 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
