Donald G. Cameron, age 73, of MacLellan’s Brook, formerly of Caledonia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family July 21, 2014 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
Born in Caledonia, he was a son of Audrey (Palmer) Cameron, New Glasgow and the late Donald E. Cameron.
He was employed with A.T. Logan, Trenton, driving a truck and operating a bulldozer. Donald then joined his father with D.E. Cameron Ltd. before retiring.
He is survived by his wife the former Diane Cameron, MacLellan’s Brook; daughters Donna (Robert) Sarson, Cameron Settlement; Diana (Kurt) Archibald, MacPherson’s Mills; son David (Bernice), MacLellan’s Brook; grandchildren: Jonathan (Julie), Aaron, Jorden, Breagh, Hannah, and special great-granddaughter Becca; brothers: Harold (Elaine), Caledonia, Hector, Rinby, AB; Ronnie (Janice) Cameron, Coalburn; sisters: Eleanor (Richard) Holmes, Edmonton; Judy (Fraser) MacDonald, Sunny Brae; Susan (Philip) Cameron, MacPherson’s Mills; Cathy (Craig) Langille, Antigonish; sisters-in-law Phyllis Cameron, St. Albert, AB; Helen Cameron, New Glasgow.
Besides his father Donald E., he was predeceased by a sister Leona, brother Wayne and brother-in-law Clarence Cameron.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Caledonia.
Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to Bethel Cemetery, Caledonia, or the Thoracic Unit of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax
