The death occurred at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, N.S., on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, of Doris ³Selma" Hardy, of Chester Basin, N.S., aged 84, wife of Lorne Hardy. Born in South Kildare, on September 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Loretta (MacArthur) Arthur. Dear mother to daughters Jean Robar (Garnet), Greenwood, N.S.; Sharon Oakley (James), Chester Grant, N.S.; sons Wesley (Carol), Ottawa, ON; Troy (Maureen), NL; and Shawn (Linda), Chester Grant, N.S.; and 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Brother to Lorne Arthur, Milton, ON. Predeceased by parents, brother Ralph Arthur and infant grandson Jerry Thomas Pasco. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O'Leary, on Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmsdale United Church Cemetery. In memory of Selma, memorials to the Parkinson Society or Elmsdale United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
