STREET, GRETA (BARTLETT) -Greta Street passed away on August 1, 2014 at her home in Alamo, Texas. Greta was born January 27, 1923 in Williamsburg, NB, daughter of the late Robert Bartlett Sr. and Annie (O'Hara) Bartlett. At the age of eleven she was adopted by her uncle, the late Frederick Bartlett and his wife Louisa and moved to Warren RI, where she lived until she married Henry Street in 1972. Greta and Henry lived most of their lives at the North Farm in Bristol, RI, spending several winters in Naples, FL. Greta was predeceased by her husband, Henry, sister, Cora, and brothers, Carl and Otto. She leaves behind a step-daughter, Stephanie (Charles) Martin of Bristol, RI, two step-grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Belvin and Charles S. Martin (Kate) and four step-great-grandchildren, a step-mother, Eva Bartlett of Fredericton, two brothers, Vincent Bartlett, of Williamsburg, NB, and Ronald Bartlett (Bonnie) of Alamo, Texas, a half-sister, Vivian (Gordie) Coughlan of Halifax, NS, and a half-brother, Robert Bartlett Jr. (Inez) of Fredericton, sister-in-law, Greta Bartlett of Fredericton, and several nephews and nieces. Greta will be remembered by all for her gentle nature, humour, and love for children.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Bristol, RI on August 29. God Bless her Soul.
