GAUTREAU, ULDEGE - Uldege Gautreau of Moncton passed away at the Dr Georges L. Dumont university hospital center on Thursday August 14, 2014 at the age of 87. Born on July 21, 1927 in Pre-D’en-Haut, he was the son of the late Anastase Gautreau and the late Albina Gautreau. He was a carman for CN until his retirement. He was devoted to helping people, loved travelling with Voyage Positif with Frère Walter, playing 45 at the Golden Age Club of Christ Roi, making puzzles and was an avid Montreal Canadien fan. He will be sadly missed by his wife Laure of 64 years of mariage; three daughters, Marie-Therese Leger of Moncton, Jocelyne (David) Bourgeois of St-Anselme and Jeannine (Larry) Comeau of Dieppe; two sons, Paul (Fernande) Gautreau of Dieppe and Michel Gautreau of Moncton; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Elmire (late Zoel) LeBlanc of Pre-D’en-Haut, Anita (late George) Auffrey of Dieppe and Eveline (Romeo) Leger of McGinley; one brother, Normand (late Hectorine) Gautreau of Dieppe; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Anna and four brothers Alban, Denis, Alcide and Laurie.
There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de Grace church (Parkton), Moncton on Monday August 18 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in Notre Dame de l’Annonciation cemetery in Pre-D’en-Haut. Arrangements are in care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. dupuisfuneralhome.ca
