PRING, ARNOLD - The death of Arnold Pring, of Springfield, NB, husband of the late Gail (Lord) Pring, occurred on Monday, August 18, 2014, at the Carleton Kirk Lodge in Saint John. Born on April 9, 1922 in Hyde Park, Mass, he was the son of the late William and Ellean (Dunlop) Pring. Arnold is survived by his daughter Allison (Rick) Barrett of Saint John, NB; step children: John Smith, Kitty Melloy, Leo Smith, Donna Smith and Blair Smith and several grandchildren. Arnold Immigrated to Canada in 1945, where he and his mother ran a farm in Springfield, NB. Initially he had many animals, eventually settling on poultry farming and the sale of eggs. He always had an avid interest in antiques and ran the Loyalist Antique Shop on Dock Street, Saint John, NB in the late 60's and early 70's as well as participating in many auctions all over North America. Arnold spent most of his winters in Florida with his beloved wife Gail.
He is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506) 832-5541, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visiting one hour before the service on Friday, August 22, 2014. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM from Reid’s Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will take place at Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point, NB, following the service.
