Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his family and friends, at his residence in Brigus on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, after a lengthy illness, Warrick Edward "Ed" Forward, age 70, formerly of Buchans. Predeceased by his parents, Hazel & Warrick Forward and leaving with beautiful memories his wife Beverly, son George, daughter Jennifer (David Sesk), brother Clifford (Joan), nephews Kevin (Denise), Steven (Anita), Nieces Susan (Luke Stennick), Krista (Jonah), Felicity, aunts, Ruth Mercer and Elva Slade and his caregiver Eileen Parsons, as well as many cousins and dear friends. Cremation has taken place, Visitation will take place at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus on Sunday, August 31, from 10-12, 2-5 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Monday, September 1, 2014 at 2 P.M. from Broughton's Memorial Chapel, with inurnment to follow. A member of many community organizations in Brigus, Ed appreciated the need for youth activities, and started RCSCC # 249 Effie M. Morrissey (Sea Cadets) and served as the Corps" first Commanding Officer. A gentle, friendly man, Ed was interested in everyone and everything, with a special fondness for children, animals, and stamp collecting. He was liked by all who met him, and loved by those who knew him as well. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Baccalieu Trail SPCA.
