McLeod- Lorraine Martha, It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the age of 78 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on September 7, 2014. She has gone on to join her sweetheart, the late Kenneth McLeod. Lorraine’s career as Medical Secretary spanned many years and she enjoyed her time teaching typing to many at night school. In her later years, she delighted in her morning coffee and chats with friends at the senior’s home. Lorraine was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby (Crowell) Hubbard. She is survived by her daughters Diane Burrill (Kenny), Lynn Kennedy (Ricky Goodwin), Patricia Bullerwell (John), and Melanie Dulong (Sean Doucette) and grandchildren Nola Moses (Jamie), Ashley Burrill, Sherri-Leah Bullerwell, John “L.J.” Bullerwell, Brandon Dulong, and Taylor Dulong. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren Liam, Sophie, Jack, and Rhys Moses, and Camden Bullerwell. Lorraine is survived by brother Wallace Hubbard and sister Violet Burns. She was predeceased by husband Kenneth McLeod, sisters Myrtle, Mable, Evangeline, and brothers Cecil, Bernard, and Clarence. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by family request. A memorial service was held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 10 am, Father Gerald David officiated. Interment was at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Family flowers only.
