CHANT, Charles William, 74, of Lockeport passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Osborne Harbour he was the son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Holland) Chant. Charles was an avid deer hunter and loved trout fishing. He also loved food and enjoyed watching the “Food Network”. Charles liked to watch old westerns. He was a loving father and grandfather. Charles worked for National Sea for 34 years and had worked for the Town of Lockeport. He is survived by his wife Margaret Darlene, daughters, Janet (Andy) Stuart, Sable River, Cheryl (Daniel Atwell) Chant Lockeport, grandchildren Ashley, Jordan and Dakota, sisters, Margaret Fowler and Alalia (Peter) Carter. He was predeceased by his brother Walter. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Monday, September 22 in H.M. Huskilson`s Funeral Home Lockeport where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Burial will be in the Osborne Harbour Cemetery.
