GRONDINE, GORDON JOSEPH - (1946 - 2014) – The death of Gordon Grondine, of Rothesay, NB occurred unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Gordon was born in Saint John, NB and was the son of the late Edward and Kathleen (Allen) Grondine. Gordon will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years Dorothy (Smith) Grondine, his son Michael Grondine and wife Shelley of Quispamsis, NB, his daughter Kathleen Grondine-Fougere and husband Geoffrey of Quispamsis, NB, his grandchildren, Kyle Fougere and Alex Grondine and was predeceased by grandchildren Madison and Eric Grondine. He is also survived by one sister Marie VanWart and husband Paul of Bayswater, NB and one brother Edward (Bucky) Grondine and wife Lois of Prince George, BC and several nieces and nephews. Gordon was in the Royal Canadian Airforce for 21 years and then was employed with the City of Saint John for 24 years. He was extremely creative and a self taught engineer, architect and carpenter and was able to build and repair anything. He enjoyed boating, camping and woodworking but his greatest love was his family.
Following cremation, a private family service will take place at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home followed by Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
