It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Joyce Hill on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at the Northside General Hospital, with her family by her side; who passed away gracefully after her courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Leo Deveaux and Pauline Hill.
She enjoyed having a household of friends and family to visit with and cook for them. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going with her sister Isabel to the games. Joyce was a wonderful mother and loved spending time with her children. She loved going to her grandson Logan's hockey games, watching and cheering him on. Joyce has arrived in heaven to wrap her arms around and keep her unborn granddaughter warm and close to her heart.

She is also survived by her sisters, Velma, Isabel, Marilyn (Chuck) Bissett, Leona (Bernie) MacDonald, Lorraine and Catherine (Glen); brothers, Wilburn (Shirley), Nelson (Helen), Winston, Frank (Shelly) and Douglas (Joyce); nephew Sheldon; cousin, Alex who were always there for her; many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as the family pets, Monroe and Toby.
