It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of Carol MacDonald Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of Douglas and Sophie (Musycszyn) MacDonald.
Carol is survived by her siblings, Anne (Robert) Livingstone, Coxheath, Debbie (Edgar) Morrison, Sydney, Douglas (Carol) MacDonald, Sarina, Ontario; her nieces and nephews, Chuck (Nicki) Livingstone and family, Debbie Livingstone, Christene Livingstone, Amanda Morrison (Brent Thistle) and family and Craig Morrison (Kristen) and family. She is also survived by her former mother-in-law, Phyllis MacDonald; Mike (June) Musycszyn and family; aunt Mary MacDonald and family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wawrzyszyn, Dr. D’Intino, the RNs and the LPNs of the VON, the staff of 4B at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for all their care and compassion given to Carol over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. A private burial to take place at a late date in Resurrection Cemetery.
