The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday, October 9, 2014, of Evelyn Kennedy (nee Kinch) of Alberton and formerly of Waterford aged 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Herman Kennedy. She was born on January 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (Callaghan) Kinch. She is survived by sons and daughters Florence Gavin, Gerard (Gloria) Kennedy, Mary (John) Ramsay, Eileen (Donald) Bernard, Carl (Cathy) Kennedy. Loving grandmother 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and survived by a sister Joyce (late Ronald) McKeighan. She was predeceased by husband Herman, parents Frank and Lucy, son Ronald, daughter Beverly, son-in-law Lloyd Gavin, sisters Frances Rayner, Irene Obee, Margaret Kelly, Patricia Kinch and Rita Kinch, brothers Elmer, Gregory and Maurice Kinch. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Friday 6–9 p.m. Funeral will be held Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
