Donald Charles Clinton

Lieu de naissance : Ontario, Canada

Lieu de décès : Cowansville, Québec, Canada
Date de décès : 21 décembre 2008

A life that was varied, exciting and always interesting came to an end on December 21, 2008. Don Clinton Sr. died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Cowansville, Quebec, at the age of 87. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 61 years; his three children, Don (Janice), Cheryl and Judy (Doug Harvey); his five grandchildren, Alisa, Erin, Jesse, Abbe and Sarah; and his two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Olivia. He will be missed by all. He backstopped the Burlington High School hockey team to the provincial championships as their goalie in 1937. He spent five years overseas flying Sunderland Flying Boats during the Second World War, and returned home to Ontario after the war to enter his father’s business in the textile industry. He later moved to Prince Edward Island with Mary where they owned and operated The Dundee Arms Inn. One of his passions was art, and his children and grandchildren will cherish his paintings forever. His other passion was golf, and just this past summer he shot his own age at a course near his home. There will be an interment at the family plot in Picton, Ontario, on a sunny day next summer. In lieu of flowers, a donation to ‘Andy Collins for Kids’ in support of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. (www.andycollinsforkids.ca)
