The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at her late residence on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, of Catherine “Faye” (nee Skinner) Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., and formerly of Toronto, Ont., aged 63 years. Faye worked for many years as an administration assistant with the Summerside Police Department. She was born in Toronto, Ont., to her late parents, Earl and Viola (nee Wright) Skinner. Beloved mother of Kim Gallant (Steve) of Sydney, N.S. and Kellie Myers (Greg) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Mitchell Robertson and Mackenna Myers. Survived by her brothers and sisters: Larry Skinner (Dorothy), Ronald Skinner, Donna Brown (Marv Grossman) and Claude Skinner. Besides her parents, Faye was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Mulligan, Myrna Strassler and Gerry Skinner, and her brothers, Roger, Bill and Donald Skinner. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday, Oct. 16, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church, Summerside, for a Celebration of Faye’s Life at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in Faye’s memory to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
